Review Process

eiRxiv uses a review process that is similar to many preprint servers, but we modified it to ensure that the process is educational to our student authors as they navigate the steps of scientific writing and publishing, likely for the first time. Please look through the following information for more information regarding our review process. 

NOTE: Manuscripts at eiRxiv are worked on in the order in which they are received. We are unable to expedite the review/publication of any manuscript for any reason. 

In order to give students the opportunity to incorporate suggestions and improve their writing, students can only submit one manuscript to eiRxiv at a time. This means that if your manuscript has been submitted, is in prereview, is in revisions, or is waiting for scientific feedback, we will not accept any more submissions from you until your current manuscript has received a final decision and/or public feedback. 

Similarly, students who submit the same manuscript to eiRxiv and JEI at the same time will have their JEI manuscript put on hold until they receive eiRxiv scientific feedback.
